Cell for Awareness and Research in Environmental Law Studies (CARES)
ABOUT CARES
The Cell for Awareness and Research in Environmental Law Studies (CARES) is one of the most active student bodies at NLIU, Bhopal that not only seeks to widen environmental awareness across the student community and beyond, but also endeavours to sensitize them into taking greener personal decisions. With Dr. Rajiv Kumar Khare as faculty advisor, CARES has been actively contributing towards the cause of a greener environment.
ACHIEVEMENTS
With an active performance record that boasts of a National Environmental Awareness Programme implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forests as well as a Green Mock Parliament and a Seminar, CARES has persistently engaged in clean up drives and campaigns across schools of Bhopal as part of its signature event ‘Ambience’.
CARES is now part of a new environmental initiative called ‘Project Malhaar’ that seeks to unite the isolated environmental struggles across Bhopal colleges and promote green practices. In the next academic year CARES plans to undertake activities that will take it beyond the campus, to the streets of Bhopal.
